Have you ever wanted to draw or write but feel you’re not creative? Are you actively writing or pursuing an artistic endeavour but feel like you haven’t tapped into your ‘voice’? Or do you just want to become more creative in your passions and hobbies? If so, come and join us for this creativity workshop in beautiful Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and have fun in a gorgeous setting while learning how to tap into your creative self. Almost by definition, being creative means stepping into the unknown. It means doing something new and learning to trust your inspirations. It means allowing your curiosity to guide you, regardless of the results, because there is no wrong way or right way, only your way.
Creativity workshop with Hester Schofield
Hester Schofield designed this program while teaching at Bournemouth University in the U.K., where she found herself dealing with frustrated students who told her, ‘But I’m not creative!’ Hester believes that everyone is creative and that they can be taught how to tap into their individual innate creativity. Informed by neuroscience the course combines visual arts and writing exercises, as well as meditation, and engagement with the natural world. On each day of the workshop, you will explore your senses, learn how to sharpen them, and learn how to refine your observational skills. You will learn how to identify and use your creative strengths, and how to strengthen your creative weaknesses.
Creativity is like a muscle that can be trained, and called upon at will. You’ll learn how easy it is to generate new ideas and to communicate them to others. Join Hester Schofield’s creativity workshop in October 2023 and learn how to identify your unique creative voice.
